Peter E. Schwab

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Wells Fargo Foothill
Group Head, Wells Fargo Asset-Based Lending

A 36-year veteran in the asset-based lending industry, Peter Schwab was named to his current position as chairman and chief executive officer at Wells Fargo Foothill in 2000, and is based in Santa Monica, California. Prior to joining Foothill, Schwab was vice president of Business Development with Barclays American/Business Credit. He started his career as a business development officer at the National Acceptance Company of California.  Schwab was named head of the Asset-Based Lending Group of Wells Fargo Wholesale Banking in 2006 upon the retirement of Foothill co-founder, John Nickoll.



Henry K. Jordan

President and Chief Operating Officer, Wells Fargo Foothill

Henry Jordan joined Foothill in 1984 as Controller after several years of auditing the company during his time with Arthur Young & Company.  Jordan served as the Chief Financial Officer of The Foothill Group from 1990-1997, was promoted to President of Foothill Capital Corporation in 1997, and named Chief Operating Officer, as well, in 2000.  He is a graduate of Loyola Marymount University and a Certified Public Accountant.



Scott R. Diehl

President, Commercial Finance Division

Scott Diehl has held a number of senior positions since joining Wells Fargo Foothill in 1984.  Today, as President of the company’s Commercial Finance Division, he manages a team of senior executives that run the company's Business Finance, Technology Finance, Specialty Finance, Lender Finance,  Loan Originations and Loan Syndication Unit.  Over the years, he has served on industry panels, has been a contributor to various publications and has worked in support of various charitable causes.  Educationally, Diehl holds a B.A. in History and Economics from Brown University.  His hobbies and interests include music, travel and outdoor activities.



William J. Mayer

President and Chief Operating Officer, Wells Fargo Retail Finance

Bill Mayer joined Wells Fargo Retail Finance as Chief Operating Officer in September, 2002 and was named its president later that year. Prior to joining Wells Fargo Retail Finance, Mayer spent almost 14 years with GE Capital in various leadership roles, both domestically and internationally, holding positions in their Commercial Finance Group, Retailer Financial Services and Healthcare Finance Group. Before joining GE Capital, Mayer was at KPMG Peat Marwick. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the Pennsylvania State University. Mayer was recently named to the Executive Advisory Board at the David F. Miller Center for Retailing Education and Research at the University of Florida’s Warrington College of Business Administration.



James D. Callas

Executive Vice President
Division Manager – Specialty Finance

A 28-year veteran of the asset-based lending industry, Jim Callas joined Wells Fargo Foothill in 1990 in its Loan Originations department and was subsequently named National Director of Loan Originations.  In 2000, he founded the Specialty Finance Division, to focus on transactions to companies in underserved industries, such as healthcare, media, hospitality and gaming.  Today, the unit is comprised of more than 50 team members managing more than $4 billion in aggregate loan commitments.  Callas is active in several charities, enjoys sailing, skiing and scuba diving and is an alumnus of UCLA.



Kevin M. Coyle

Executive Vice President
Chief Credit Officer, Wells Fargo Foothill

Kevin Coyle has been with Foothill since 1990 and has held numerous positions, including various portfolio and portfolio management roles.  Prior to being named Chief Credit Officer in 2007, Coyle served as National Credit Manager for Wells Fargo Foothill Business Finance, where he oversaw a team of over 100 lending professionals and approximately $3 billion of assets.  His previous management roles included stints as Regional Credit Manager and Loan Portfolio Manager for Business Finance.  Coyle holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Bradley University and an M.B.A. from DePaul University.



Michael E. Fishman

Executive Vice President
National Director – Loan Originations

Mike Fishman joined the company in 1990 as a loan portfolio manager, and in 1996, he was named National Underwriting Manager, responsible for a team of new business underwriters across the country.  By 2000, Fishman was given responsibility for business development nationwide, and today, he manages an originations team of 60 business development officers, analysts and syndications professionals responsible for over $4 billion in new loan commitments in 2007 alone.  He is a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology.



Guy Fuchs

Executive Vice President
Division Manager – Business Finance

Guy Fuchs was named Division Manager of the entire Business Finance division in 2007 after having managed its Syndicated Finance unit for six years. Prior to joining Foothill, Fuchs was the Western Region Manager of GE Capital's Asset-Based Lending Division based in Los Angeles. From 1989 to 1999, he held various portfolio management positions for the CIT Group, ultimately serving as the head of CIT Business Credit's Los Angeles office. Fuchs received a B.S. degree in Accounting from Indiana University and was a Certified Public Accountant before entering the finance industry.



Mary-Jo Gagliardi

Human Resources Director

Mary-Jo Gagliardi has been with Wells Fargo Foothill since February 2002 and was named Director of Human Resources in 2005.  She has an undergraduate degree from Providence College and a master’s degree from Boston College.  Prior to her time at Wells Fargo Foothill, Gagliardi was a Senior Associate at Korn/Ferry International, and from 1993 to 1999 she was a Human Resources Manager at Fidelity Investments.



David C. Hilton

Chief Credit Officer, The Foothill Group
Wells Fargo Asset-Based Lending

Dave Hilton has spent 30 years in the asset-based lending industry, all with the Foothill Group.  He has held positions of Controller (1978-1983), Chief Financial Officer (1983-1989) and was named to his current position of Chief Credit Officer in 1989.  Prior to joining Foothill, Hilton was an audit manager with Peat, Marwick & Mitchell (now KPMG), where he began his career.  Hilton is a Certified Public Accountant.



Katherine M. Kilbourne

Executive Vice President
Chief Financial Officer

Kathy Kilbourne came to Wells Fargo Foothill from Wells Fargo Securities in 2005, where she most recently served as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer.  Kilbourne joined Wells Fargo in 1999 after holding several positions at Dain Rauscher and Piper Jaffray.  She has a B.S. in economics from the University of Minnesota and an MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.



Kurt Marsden

Executive Vice President
Division Manager – Technology Finance

Over a tenure of more than six years as Regional Credit Manager for the Western Region of Wells Fargo Foothill Business Finance, Kurt Marsden was integral in developing the company’s expertise in lending to software and technology companies.  Marsden joined the company in 1992 as one of the original participants in Foothill’s Assistant Account Executive Training Program, then was promoted steadily through positions in field audit, loan administration, portfolio management and brief stint as the initial Credit Manager of Wells Fargo Foothill Specialty Finance.   He is a graduate of California State University, Northridge with a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and Real Estate.



Don Olender

Executive Vice President
Chief Information Officer

Don Olender joined Wells Fargo Foothill in 1995 and has served as its CIO since 1997.  Throughout his career, Olender has been in technical and project management, working previously as a senior project manager, programmer/analyst and computer operator at Providian Bancorp in Northern California for eight years, and as a senior project manager at Bank of America in its card services division for 13 years.  Olender is currently serving on the Executive Board of the UCLA I.S. Associates.  He is also a member of the Southern California Chapter of SIM and is the founding chairman and current member of the Commercial Finance Association's Technology Committee.  He earned his B.A. in Business Administration and Human Resource Management from Golden Gate University, San Francisco, graduating magna cum laude.



Andrea Petro

Executive Vice President
Division Manager – Lender Finance

A 21-year veteran of the asset-based lending industry, Andrea Petro established the Lender Finance Division of Wells Fargo Foothill in 2000 with the exclusive mission of providing financing for specialty finance companies.  Prior to joining Foothill, Petro was Senior Vice President, National Marketing Manager of the Financial Services Funding Division of Transamerica Business Credit.  Petro earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Kent State University and her Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at Austin. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Commercial Finance Association.
